Arce sanguine was a school project where I worked as a modeller of characters and props, screenwriter,2D artist and designed every level of this game. But not everything has been implemented.

Game story
Valentim is a twenty-four-year-old peasant who lived in the fields near the village that is located around the castle of Orava, in Slovakia. In the region, it is a consensus that people should not leave their homes at night. Several people who had ventured out of their homes overnight in the region were missing, only to be located seven days later dumped in some corner, with not a drop of blood on their bodies.
Rumors said that a bloodsucking nocturnal monster roamed the vicinity at night, seeking its next victim.
That day, while doing his work in the field, Valentim's hoe breaks, which delays his work a lot, forcing him to work later. He knew the danger was real, recently a resident of the village called Frederick had left his house during the night to fetch water from the well and was never found after four days from the well. His family already considered a man dead.
But even with the high risk, if he doesn't finish the job that day, the whole process would be delayed and the harvest would suffer, which would mean a harsh winter.
Around eight o'clock at night, Valentim was finishing his work, he was already putting away the tools anxious to get home and rest, when suddenly he feels a strong dizziness, his vision darkens, he feels weak, and he blacks out. Some time later he wakes up, in a strange place and completely different from anything he knew.
Gameplay
The game will have a clock, the player will take control of the character at 20:00, and will be able to control him until 04:00, where the count will find him regardless of where he is. Before midnight, the nosferatu will roam the castle in a patrol position, walking the grounds and interacting with objects. At midnight, he will go to the character's room to look for him to perform the medical tests (suck his blood) and when he sees that the player is not in the room or in the bathroom, he will go into chase mode and start actively looking and chase the player through the castle. This will be signaled to the player via a horrendous scream that will echo throughout the entire place. This will also happen if the player is spotted by the Nosferatu before midnight.
The idea is that during the night the few employees that the castle has are sleeping, thus leaving it empty, since they work during the day, and leave the castle to the count during the night.
The game over condition will be if 7 days pass without the player being able to escape, or be trapped in the starting wing after Frederick's death.
Upon finding the player, the Nosferatu will begin chasing them. In order to escape, the player must leave the count's field of vision and hide. However, his tormentor will remain in the room where the player hid until he has searched it completely, so the player must take advantage of a moment when Nosferatu is distracted or has his back to the character, to leave the room before being killed. caught.
When the Nosferatu approaches the player, the character's heartbeat accelerates according to proximity, beating faster and faster the closer he is, and triggering when he enters pursuit mode (finds the player), his vision also darkens slightly . Effects vary according to madness/fatigue.
With each passing day the player becomes more affected by the Count's experiments. Your perception of reality is affected and this causes objects to change places, as well as some rooms, castle orientation and everything else. The employees' houses that are accessible, for example, are mixed with the non-accessible ones, making the player have to find out every day which houses are the right ones.
